Mission Groups Men's Ministry We are united to promote fellowship, unity, and Godliness among the young boys & men of the church, which includes bible lessons that teach how to be consistent with the biblical doctrine. Join now Baptismal Ministry Our Baptismal Ministry provides knowledge and understanding as it relates to baptism according to biblical doctrine (Matthew 28:19-20). The ministry assists new converts before and after baptism. New Christian disciples will learn: -Who God is and how to let him be your leader -The Fall (Lost and Found) -Bible scriptures covering Baptism -What God expects of a New Christian Join now Women's Ministry Our women stand to promote fellowship, unity, and Godliness among the women as well as the young ladies through teaching biblical doctrine designed to help them live productive lifestyles. Join now Marriage Ministry Our Marriage Ministry serves as an atmosphere where couples will learn how to enjoy a model marriage as God has designed and teaches how to be consistent with the biblical doctrine. Join now Single's Ministry This Ministry creates an atmosphere where singles can learn how to live a productive Christian single life as outlined in the bible as well as how to be consistent with Bible doctrine. We promote unity and fellowship among all singles of the church. Join now Music Ministry Our music ministry creates an atmosphere for praise and worship through songs that are consistent with bible doctrine. Join now Youth Ministry We empower our youth and offer an atmosphere for youth & teenagers to come to know God for themselves through fellowship and with our leadership in their spiritual growth.  Our youth ministry teaches: -Who our God is -How to walk with God -How to relate to each other -How to share their faith Our teen ministry teaches: -Educates students about College preparation (i.e. selecting a college, financial assistance, SAT prep, etc.) - Job preparation (i.e. techniques on how to interview, how to complete a job application & how to dress for success) We also help our children to enjoy their free time by sponsoring activities and outings such as movie nights, talent shows, sports events, musical events, amusement/themes parks, etc. Join now Usher/Greeter Ministry We create and maintain an atmosphere of hospitality, which welcomes and prepares individuals for worship services. PASTOR DAVID L. SMITH AND LADY LINDA SMITH Pastor David L. Smith On April 26, 1992 a humble, young and spirit filled David L. Smith preached his very first sermon as pastor of New Bethlehem Baptist Church. The Lord sent Pastor Smith, his wife Linda and their three daughters to the New Bethlehem family with a “Kingdom Building” vision. “Where there is no vision, the people perish”, (Proverbs 29:18)  Pastor David L. Smith has been a faithful preacher of the gospel for more than 39 years. He is a true Houstonian and loves his community. He attended the College of Biblical Studies and has been awarded much recognition for his faithfulness such as “Gospel Monthly – 40 under 40 of Houston”, Honorary Sheriff from former Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia & City of Houston Resolutions from current Mayor Sylvester Turner and former Mayor Annise D. Parker, Congressman Gene Green, Former Senator Sylvia Garcia, State Representative Armando Walle along with other city councilman, state representatives and congressman. He believes that there is only one God, one faith and one baptism. Through teaching the doctrine he allows every believer the opportunity to share an abundance of life; which includes unconditional love, immense wisdom and profound understanding. Pastor Smith’s passion is to use his extraordinary gift of serving by assessing the immediate needs of his community. He then teaches the doctrine in a way that it is practical and applicable so that believers may become socially, economically and spiritually, independent. He’s a real motivator who encourages others to go above and beyond.  The New Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church and Pastor Smith welcome new members to become part of a forever growing church so that they too can use their gifts and talents in a helping manner in order to develop themselves and others as it relates to the doctrine of Jesus Christ. “God is doing two things in the world; He is saving souls and maturing saints. She has been married to Pastor David L. Smith for 39+ years and is the proud mother to three lovely daughters Tamara, Crystal & Jessica. She adores her four beautiful grandchildren Jayla, Tamia, Chandler, King and Karter.  Mrs. Smith has communicated her passion for helping individuals who seek more of God. She utilizes her gifts and talents to its fullest in all areas needed. More specifically, she has taught and counseled women in many areas of praying, confessing and repenting worldly sin while renewing the mind, and applying the Bible to their personal lives. Mrs. Smith offers assistance in managing time and finances by relating these subjects to and honoring the word of God.  “I believe that scriptures are without error and are the supreme standard by which all mankind should conduct their walk of life.
